Australia’s youth radio monsters triple J have revealed their plans to launch a new radio station this October that will be dedicated solely to unsigned home grown musical talent.
All we know at this stage is from the tweet below, but once we know more details (like who will host the breakfast segment? and where does The Doctor fit in with all this?) we’ll update the post, so watch this space.
UPDATE: The new station is called triple j Unearthed and according to the official statement “will be heard on digital radio in five capital cities (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth) and online around the world from triplejunearthed.com.
“triple j Unearthed will have its first day on air on Wednesday 5 October. To celebrate the launch, we are throwing simultaneous live events in the six capital cities that receive digital radio. These shows will feature the very best of the current Unearthed talent. More info soon.”
