Tyler, the Creator really seems to amping up the controversy in the videos for his newest album, ‘Cherry Bomb’.
His last video, for both ‘Fucking Young’ and ‘Deathcamp’, was a seriously magical colourbomb of insanity, to delight both the visual and aural senses during one’s casual midnight Youtube binge.
Now, ‘BUFFALO‘ seems to take on a whole lotta big topics, the first and most obvious being the ongoing issue with race relations in the United States. In the first scene, Tyler is seen covered in white paint, being lynched by a group of African-American men – no confusion about the commentary there.
The lyrics to the song also reference when Tyler was arrested for ‘inciting a riot’ in Austin, Texas, after his set at SXSW.
Australia‘s love for Tyler doesn’t seem to be fading despite his recent Visa denial into our fair country, so we thought ya’ll better watch this vid ASAP:
