The Temper Trap Do Augmented Reality

The Temper Trap continue in their quest to be one of the most marketable bands Australia has ever produced with a new collaboration that has teamed them with clothing brand Cotton On and Beyond Blue Australia – the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to increasing awareness of depression and related disorders.

Temper Trap have shot four tracks in Augmented Reality (AR) for the collab and for the uninitiated AR is defined as a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are augmented by virtual computer-generated imagery, but for digital dumb asses like us you can translate that to: super awesome magic eye visual shit that can only happen with the help of a green screen and the technological know how of The Lawnmower Man.

Cotton On enlisted 12 young artists, actors, models and musicians including Kim Ellery, Matt Lee and Phoebe Tonkin to design a special collection of t-shirts stocked in Cotton On during October and $10 from each sale goes towards Beyond Blue Australia. The t-shirts also come with a code / tag that enables access to the interactive AR tracks. It’s next level fundraising geared towards the Y Generation and for a really important cause.
