The Strokes have now jumped on the new album bandwagon with two new songs intended for a 2013 release finding their way to Seattle Radio station 107.7 The End for an exclusive in-house preview. One of the tracks, All The Time, has been confirmed by Billboard as the intended lead single from new album due later in the year. So far RCA Records have done a pretty good job of keeping the tracks under lock and key so we’ll have to take 107.7 The End’s word for it.
“While RCA is keeping most of the details of the forthcoming new full
length album (yes, you read that correctly) under wraps, we can tell you
that of the two songs we heard, one was a more synth driven track, with
the other (the aforementioned, “All The Time”) packing a classic
strokes sound. No mention of a tour came up, but we can tell you, you’ll
be hearing new music from the band sooner than later.”
Sure, the distinct lack of concrete dates is pretty annoying but classic Strokes sound? Yes please!
