The band that managed to beat out Kendrick to the top spot on the triple j Hottest 100 of 2015 with earworm ‘Hoops‘, The Rubens, are laying it all down for an Australian headline tour this November and December to spruik their latest long-player, Lo La Ru.
Lo La Ru, which came out through Ivy League back in June, debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart.
The tour will see the band roll back into Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney for the second time this year, alongside big-arse shows in Adelaide and Fremantle, which fall around a whole slew of regional tour dates across the country, from Launceston to Darwin, as well as a cheeky festival slot at Newcastle‘s This That on 3 November.
They’ll be bringing along Sydney indie-folkers Little May for all capital headline dates. But wait, there’s more: The Rubens are gonna be scouring triple j Unearthed for a second support act from each state. All you’ve gotsa do is have your tunes up by Sunday 23 September. They’ll even be looking to pull out some lady vocalists to sing Sarah‘s part on their beloved single ‘Never Ever‘. Mates, this could be your chance to show off them pipes not in front of the mirror/warbling in the shower. I believe in you.
The Menangle boiiiis are currently supporting fucking Pink on her massive stadium tour through Australia and New Zealand, following a spate of European and US dates earlier this year.
