The Middle East Debut New Jam On Golden Plains Website

Many-membered Townsville troupe The Middle East announce the follow up to 2008’s The Recordings of The Middle East in debut longplayer “I Want That You Are Always Happy”, slated for release April 8 via Spunk. First taste of the 13 track LP is bleak album opener “Black Death 1349” which you can now download/stream from the official Golden Plains website (the band will perform at the festival March 13).

According to a press release the album was recorded “between tours at the band’s’ Townsville studio in late 2009”, Midlake’s Denton studio in March 2010″ and “a makeshift Cairns-based studio” in July 2010.

The band will soon announce an extensive national tour slated for June.
