The Kills’ Tour Bus Disappears

Bands are susceptible to losing things on tour: money, equipment, drugs, friendships, sanity or in the case of the protagonist of “Almost Famous” your virginity.

In a twist of David Blaine proportions however, Lo-Fi duo The Kills have lost a whole tour bus…and their driver.

After arriving in Austin, Texas the duo were expecting their tour bus to be ready and waiting, last seeing it in Los Angeles where it was fitted for new tires. The bus was then meant to reconvene with the band in Austin it didn’t show up and as of yet there is no word from the driver. “It is thought that the driver has committed grand theft auto or that he is in some kind of trouble” the label stated.

The Kills have appealed online for any information regarding the missing tour bus:

“OUR BUS DRIVER IS MISSING AND/OR HURT/DEAD/or A THIEF,” they wrote. “OUR BUS HAS DISAPPEARED. … How can three tons of black metal vanish into thin air?”

I bet the driver is joy riding in the desert in Mosshart’s clothing right now.
