The Avalanches Drop Yet Another Dreamy, Funky Tune With ‘Subways’

We’re almost overloaded with Avalanches shit right now. After a sixteen year absence, they’re drip-feeding us big tunes, and the punters are loving it. First it was the Danny Brown and MF DOOM featured tracks Frankie Sinatra, then the chiller Colours.

Now we’ve got the funkier entry Subways – and we like it a lot.
The vocals on this one are lifted from CHANDRA’s 1980 track – also named Subways – and it turns the big bouncy funk punk of the original into something mellower.
We love it though – and we can’t wait to sink our teeth into the rest of Wildflower. July 8 can’t come fast enough, folks.
