Prepare To Be Sad, The Weeknd Just Dropped A New Album ‘My Dear Melancholy’

In case you’re loaded up on mocha hot cross buns and all the chocolate in the world and so cannot physically move, The Weeknd just randomly yet beautifully unleashed his latest album on the world and nobody was ready for it.  The album’s titled My Dear Melancholy so prepare to feel a bunch of things.

Selena Gomez, this one’s on you.

But really, the lyrics are SAD.

The first track Call Out My Name contain the lyrics,

“We found each other
I helped you out of a broken place
You gave me comfort
But falling for you was my mistake.”

Goodbye emotional stability.

The album comes 18 months after Starboy changed lives and now The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, has introduced six brand new tracks via his Instagram which is already available to stream to your heart’s content on Youtube. FOR FREE. And let me just say, the tracks are fire.

But first, can we just…just look at this.

“I’m indifferent to be honest”.

Yeah alright mate. That was The Weeknd and La Mar playing music gods in case you’re perplexed by their almighty power.

The Weeknd posted that on Thursday, sending his army into a bloody flurry but not to tease them any further, he blessed us all the very next day.

Here’s the Insta post which has already been viewed an easy a million times.

The tracks are available on just about every music-streaming service so if you feel like paying you can hit up either iTunes or Tidal but if you need to save that sweet, sweet cash then just head straight to Youtube or Spotify.

My Dear Melancholy:

  1. Call Out My Name
  2. Try Me
  3. Wasted Times
  4. I Was Never There (feat. Gesaffelstein)
  5. Hurt You (feat. Gesaffelstein)
  6. Privilege

Look, just reading those titles does a lot of things to the heart so it’s only fair to show how Twitter is reacting to the news.
