Sufjan Stevens Dedicates “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” Cover To Australia

One of the coolest things to go down at this week’s Vivid Festival (and there were many) was the sight of Sufjan Stevens, The National’s Bryce Dessner and composer Nico Muhly teaming up to bring their collaborative ode to the solar system, “Planetarium”, to an increasingly cosmic Sydney Opera House. Even cooler? Sufjan ended the set by covering “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” (aww) and saying “I always thought this song was about outer space. But after this week I think it’s actually about Australia.” (double aww). Watch it below…
