‘Stranger Things’ Star Joe Keery’s Debut Single Annoyingly Proves He Can Do Anything

Joe Keery

Turns out the World’s Best Babysitter Joe Keery also has the voice of a dreamy angel because he’s just released his debut single under the moniker Djo.

The Stranger Things star debuted the stunning tune, ‘Roddy’, earlier this week and honestly, I reckon it’s better than his gravity-defying hair. I said what I said.

Keery, who stars as Steve Harrington on the adored series, is no stranger to the music scene. According to NME, Keery used to be part of psychedelic rock band Post Animal but exited the group ahead of their debut album.

‘Roddy’ is available on all your usual streaming suspects including Spotify, the iTunes store, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube.

Keery isn’t the only wildly talented cast member of Stranger Things. Acting aside, Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) kicked off his career on Broadway, appearing in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Les Misérables. Not to mention, his musical number in season 3 of Stranger Things with on-screen girlfriend Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) absolutely ruled. Millie Bobby Brown, who stars as Eleven, is just a natural born performer. The gun has appeared onstage with Maroon 5 and once rapped a Stranger Things season 1 recap on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonFinn Wolfhard (Mike) is also in a rock band called Calpurnia, and then there’s Perth boy Dacre Montgomery and his poetry podcast, DKMH.

I’ve fallen into a bit of a “The Musical Talents of the Stranger Things Cast” hole so to conclude this yarn, here’s Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), Wolfhard, and Matarazzo performing as a motown cover band with James Corden.

Binge Stranger Things seasons 1-3 on Netflix now.
