Nike have just announced their new Nike X Stranger Things collaboration. And, just like the hit Netflix series, these shoes are filled with spicy secrets to uncover.
The Stranger Things X Nike collaboration was first unveiled at Comic-Con last weekend in San Diego. These saucy boys are by far the most interesting, but Nike did release a whole collection if you’re into normal people shoes that you (probably) shouldn’t take a lighter to.

The sneaker giant took to Twitter to share a sneaky little teaser before the announcement last week, and obviously, fans went absolutely crazy.

The ‘Tailwind 79’ sneakers will initially only be available to select competition winners, but it is believed that they’ll be available to the rest of us from August 21. Mark your calendars! But, if you can’t possibly wait any longer, the rest of the Nike X Stranger Things collab can be purchased on the Nike website now.
In addition to a hot new design, the shoe also comes with a tonne of fun easter eggs to uncover.
If you take a lighter to the heel, the shabby grey material will burn away to reveal the famous Stranger Things logo. Trust me, I’m not trying to get you to set your shoes on fire. And if flames aren’t quite spicy enough for you, get ready because there’s plenty more whether that came from.
Along with the hidden heel detail, you can also lift the insole to reveal a secret note. The message appears in both Russian and English, so you won’t even need to chuck it in Google Translate! Or, you can just watch the show because Dustin, Steve and Robin crack it right in front of you, which is much more exciting.
The worn-looking sneakers feature colours and branding from Hawkins High School, and other important locations in the show. Nike have pulled out all the stops with these bad boys, even printing hidden deets on the insoles themselves.

The shoes aren’t available for purchase until August 21, and judging by the initial reaction, they won’t be around for long. Considering the roaring success of the series, I’d be surprised if the Nike X Stranger Things collaboration doesn’t fly off the shelves as soon as it drops.
