Splendour Organisers Quash Radiohead Rumours

Today in managing expectations: Splendour has been quick to quash Radiohead rumours after they were today added to this year’s Fuji Rock lineup*.

*Fuji is considered the most accurate prognosticator of Splendour lineups not involving hacking the Dew Process servers.

Organisers took to twitter today to officially dispel the rumours: “Re the speculation about Radiohead @ SITG this year, we’d like to officially dispel these rumours, unfort they’re not playing Splendour 2012”

“And while we’re here… brace yourselves… ditto for The Stone Roses, they won’t be playing Splendour 2012 either :-(“

So that’s two names to cross off your list.

Radiohead rumours first surfaced this week when Kiwi musician Connan Mockasin tweeted “I won’t be coming home for camp but will be with Radiohead later in the year.”, a statement allegedly “confirmed” by 95bFM’s Morning Glory radio show host, Charlotte Ryan.

We’re back to square one I guess.
