Songs To Split After Vinyl Launch Tour

After releasing one of the best local albums of 2009, we were sad to learn the original line up of Sydney four-piece Songs (Jeff Burch, Max Doyle, Ela Stiles & Steve Uren) will be no more following their upcoming tour. The band made the announcement of the amicable split on their myspace profile in early August with the following message:

“Due to a members relocation overseas these shows will be the last Songs shows with the Steve & Jeff. Despite this we are currently recording new material together that will be released in some form or another by years end.”

Fortunately for fans, Max and Ela will continue to work together as Songs.
The tour which kicks off very soon will be to farewell Steve and Jeff as well as celebrate the release of the vinyl version of their excellent debut ‘Songs’, which will be available on the very limited release of 200 copies.
