Less than a week before Coachella kicks off for the 2019 edition of its double-weekender festival, Solange has announced that she’s no longer performing for either of the weekends.
In a statement posted to the Coachella twitter this morning, Solange’s late withdrawal from the festival in the California desert near Palm Springs has happened due to “major production delays.“
PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out to Solange’s local label for more information.
Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year's festival. She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.

With the announcement, Coachella has not yet revealed who will be replacing Solange as a sub-headliner on both of the Saturday lineups, but many are calling – nay demanding – that a non-male act takes her place, including Kali Uchis, Lana Del Ray, FKA Twigs, and Carly Rae Jepsen (oh my GOD PLEASE.)
TELL LANA WE SAID WASSUP?????????

These are all solid shouts for replacements, and we’ll keep you all updated with any new information on Solange’s replacement.
But in the worst case, there’s always this suggestion:
