Byron Ratbags Skegss Drop Huge All-Ages Tour W/ Twin Peaks & SCABZ

Red hot from their mammoth set at Splendour In The GrassByron Bay locals Skegss dropped dates today for a big ol’ national tour – and hitting up two shows in each city to play both an under 18s show as well as an 18+ one wherever they can. Now, mates, that’s how you make live music accessible to all ages.

The My Own Mess tour comes after the three-piece release their debut album My Own Mess, which is dropping on September 7th, so you’ll all have plenty of time to get all the lyrics down pat.

The boys are taking Chicago-based Twin Peaks (the band, not the excellent David Lynch 90s show that copped a third season last year) for the ride, which is nice considering the indie five-piece haven’t been in Aus for a couple of years.

Sydney‘s self-proclaimed “shittest band” SCABZ are also headed off on the big tour, so expect a big party full of mischief and beers and songs about Victoria Bitter.

PLUS1 – a live music initiative that helps raise money for important charities – has jumped on board for the whole tour, meaning that $1 from every ticket sold will go to The Mark Hughes Foundation to support brain cancer research and patients.

Tickets goes on sale from 9am on Thursday August 9th over at the Skegss website, with a sneaky lil’ presale on right now if you’ve got the secret password.
