Sia Releases New Track ‘Alive’ Which She Originally Wrote For Adele

Sia has briefly emerged to grace the world with a new single before, no doubt, returning to the ginormous wig from whence she came.

Of late Sia has been occupied with her film, ‘Sister‘, which she wrote for Maddie Ziegler and is set to direct. She said of the script: “I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie, because I thought it would be seen as a vanity project, because I was a singer. And then last year after I made the ‘Chandelier’ video, I realised that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver.”

The aforementioned single ‘Alive‘ is taken from her new album ‘This Is Acting‘, which is to feature songs she wrote for other artists over the years: “I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go into it thinking, ‘This is something I would say.’ It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun.”

First single up was rejected by Adele“It’s about [Adele’s] life, so I now sing a song from [Adele’s] perspective” – and Sia told Zane Lowe others tracks in the album were for RihannaBeyoncé, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Shakira. Elsewhere she’s to appear on Adele’s much anticipated new album and has also been the studio with FKA twigs
