Sia To Direct Mysterious Documentary About The Mysterious Singer Sia

The riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a viral video of a ’90s Home And Away performance that is Sia Furler usually likes to maintain pretty strict privacy.
She likes to hide behind a curtain of hair on the red carpet, and she has not shown her face in a performance since 2013, choosing to turn her back to the audience and employ stand-ins like Maddie Ziegler, as seen above.
We have no idea what form a documentary about Sia might take, but we’re about to find out, as over the weekend, the ‘Strayan legend announced that there is one of these in the works.
Per reports, The Untitled Sia Documentary Project which might be the actual title, IDK, the lady does like an air of mystery – will be co-directed by Sia and her husband Erik Anders Lang.
During a recent Interview Magazine Q&A between Sia and our other dream BFF Kristen Wiig, the singer spoke about her desire to maintain strict control over her image. She said:
“I’m allowed to maintain some modicum of privacy.I would like not to be picked apart or for people to observe when I put on ten pounds or take off ten pounds or I have a hair extension out of place or my fake tan is botched … Most people don’t have to be under that pressure, and I’d like to be one of them.”
What this means for the documentary is anyone’s guess. It’s not yet clear whether her performances, her day-to-day life, or her history, from Adelaide girl to superstar performing on Ellen and writing songs for Rihanna, will be the focus.
Hell, a documentary about Sia’s life could constitute  90 minutes of her with her back to the camera while a variety of hairy men in wigs and leotards leap around in front of her (would watch, TBH).
When that’s done, Sia has another film project lined up, a feature called Sisters
Sisters will be Sia’s directorial debut, and she also wrote the script, after spending several weeks mapping out the story with children’s book author Dallas Clayton. The film will star Ziegler, naturally.
