‘Scar Tissue’ To Become A TV Series

Anthony KiedisScar Tissue, the book that defined the wild days of the Red Hot Chili Peppers (read: not now) and became a bible to teenage boys the world over is headed to TV land.

The project had previously been with HBO, who have previously picked up, among other things, Angry Boys, has moved to FX and will be co-produced by Kiedis, as well as Entourage‘s Marc Abrams and Mike Benson. In more exciting news, it gives us the chance to relive this epic song again:

No word yet on the specifics of the format but given the amount of seven deadly sins Kiedis gets through in like, the first chapter of the tome, it should be pretty easy to turn it into a mini-series. We can even title them like they do with Friends episodes: ‘The One Where I Sleep With My Dad’s Girlfriend When I’m Twelve’, ‘The One Where Flea And I Discover Heroin And Cocaine At The Same Time’, ‘The One Where We Fire Another Drummer And Hire One Who Looks Like Will Ferrell’…the possibilities are endless.

As for who will play Kiedis, it will obviously have to be someone with youthful exuberance and a huge dramatic range. So our bet is on Robert Pattinson. He’s full of life that kid.
