Yesterday while browsing Instagram we encountered some snaps posted by budding lingerie entrepreneur Lara Bingle copping recreational downtime with Red Hot Chili Peppers front man, Anthony Kiedis, who’s been in Australia playing Big Day Out.
We thought we knew everything about Lara – you know, because she’s a sharer – but we had no idea she was chummy with rock and roll royalty with Anthony Kiedis’s pedigree (circa 1989-2002). There is a certain symbiosis between young magazine models and aging rockers (albeit one who has kept it extremely tight for a 50-year-old), i.e. beautiful youth is educated by secrets of the universe and clues to finding true zen that only old people who’ve overcome heroin addiction can impart, while old rocker rediscovers the mojo of his halcyon days by providing beautiful youth with eternal Instagram evidence of having met someone whose name they once inscribed in the margin of high school textbooks written only in flowers and hearts.
Observe these photos of Lara and Anthony road trippin’ somewhere (we’re guessing) off the Princess Highway in New South Wales / Your smiling eyes are just a mirror for the sun.
Despite the fact the pair appear pretty close in the photos, as far as we know Lara’s still dating Chronicles of Never designer Gareth Moody, so until we learn otherwise Lara’s Instagram trolls really need to reel in the vulgarity.
