During their mid-’90s peak, Savage Garden were undeniably massive – the pop duo’s debut album stayed at the number one spot on the Australian charts for 19 weeks, going platinum 12 times here and 7 times in the US.
Unfortunately, fame is a fickle mistress, and these days, after releasing a series of solo albums, founding member Darren Hayes is in Los Angeles, having a crack at comedy writing, and producing a podcast, The He Said He Said Show.
Recently, Hayes took to the streets of Santa Monica to ask pedestrians if they had any idea who he was. We don’t want to give too much away, but the results may break your ’90s pop-loving hearts.
