Saddle Creek AKA the Nebraskan based label that unleashed The Faint’s last 4 records + Bright Eyes etc. has just announced they’ve signed Canada’s indie rockers; Sebastien Grainger and The Mountains.
Sebastien Grainger has been floating around the hype machine as a solo project for quite some while now post the end of Death From Above 1979, however he may not have received as much blog-love as much as the other half of DFA1979, Jesse Keeler AKA MSTRKRFT, though. His latest stuff certainly has the Saddle Creek charm thing going on, that indie vibe and the touch of emotion that Saddle Creek is synonymous with is again ever so present in each of their recordings.
Will Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains be the next Arcade Fire? Maybe.
