Robin Thicke Is Bringing His NSFW Hashtags and Messenger Satchel To ‘The Voice’ Finale

Providing an exemplary model of what constitutes a fruitful career revival in the music industry, one which will surely come in handy for contestants further down the track, bicycle messenger Robin #Thicke has been invited to perform during the season two finale of The Voice Australia on June 17th.

Thicke’s career-exhuming ‘Blurred Lines’, with its NSFW music video and its accompanying double platinum single, has spent five consecutive weeks on top of the ARIA singles charts, having clearly struck a chord with Australian listeners and viewers who enjoy an infectious Pharrell-assisted ‘groove’ and also boobs. With its mammary-concealing, gimmicky hashtags and deft innuendo [‘What rhymes with hug me?’], a live performance from Thicke is exactly what this family entertainment variety hour called for.
Meanwhile, Delta Goodrem’s contractually-obliged pal Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic fame (?) has also signed on to perform; probably ‘Apologise’ or something from a ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ soundtrack.
If Gurrumul’s ARIA-charting duet with Goodrem on ‘The Voice’ offers any indication, both performances should be portraits of artistic restraint and touching poignancy.
