I think we can confidently say that Playground Weekender is one of the most festival experiences Australia has. Anybody who’s ever boarded the ferry to Del Rio Riverside Resort for three days of fancy dress, cabaret performances, spiritual healing classes and fantastic live tunes can attest that it has the kind of one-for-all-and-all-for-one community vibe that hasn’t been seen since the halcyon days of raving.
The festival has typically fallen over a weekend in February but organisers have decided to move it to March to decrease the rate of heat-induced faints per capita. This year it will be held over the weekend of Thursday 1 March – Sunday 4 March 2012 so rally the troops and mark your diary.
