The duo behind Australia’s favourite single of 2011 have been reaping the kind of social media attention usually reserved for the sentence BEYONCE IS PREGNANT. First it was Gotye getting love from Twitter big gun, Ashton Kutcher, and now his fellow Melburnian and duet buddy Kimbra has been bestowed with a similarly high-profile endorsement from “the internet’s most notorious gossip columnist” Perez Hilton.
Perez, whose site receives around 300 million hits a month, sent a tweet to Kimbra with a request for her to perform at his birthday party in October:
With her forthcoming national tour and then the Parklife dates Kimbra is looking pretty booked up… We’ll check in with her soon to see if there’s any chance of her making the gig.
Kimbra’s debut Vows is due out this Friday (2 Sep) but tune in tomorrow because we’re streaming the entire album in full.
