Dear strange cousins from the West: look upon us with envy no longer. The Falls Music & Arts Festival. Now it ain’t just for folks in NSW, VIC and TAS.
It’ll be staged over the weekend of January 7- 8, and feature the same mix of music, creative food, performance art, boutique drinks, décor, makers, artisans that we’ve all come to love about the fest.
But rather than being in a big open space like Falls on the east coast, this one’s going down a different road. Named Falls Downtown, this iteration will “flood the streets and forgotten buildings of Fremantle“, including a multi-level performance and art space in the old abandoned Myer building.
The main stage is gonna be in the old town square, surrounded by pubs and bars and all that beautiful stuff we love.
Sounds like a hoot. Stay tuned – apparently they’re workin’ hard on artist announcements.
