Nathan From Faker King Hit At Launceston Gig

Nathan Hudson, the front man of new wave revivalists Faker, has joined an esteemed list of pop music front people who’ve been physically attacked by punters.

According to reports, Nathan was king hit by an anonymous assailant following the band’s Saturday night performance at Hotel New York in Launceston. He told the Star Observer, “We signed a tour poster for the venue and I made a reference about celebrating equal marriage rights in New York, given the hotel name, which the manager was visibly unimpressed about.”

He alleged that he was dragged out of the bar by a man who asked if he wanted to fight, telling him “you’ve been shitting me all night”. He said he refused but was “king-hit”.

Hudson suggested the attack may have been motivated by homophobia but, regardless of the assailant’s motivation, the fact is no one should be getting punched in the face by another person ever. It’s kind of prophetic that Faker’s first single off their new album Be The Twilight is called “Dangerous”.

We wish Nathan a swift recovery.
