The 21st century Hype Williams is a 28 year old Aussie named Nabil Elderkin. Exhibit A is the dude’s show reel (hello Common, Kanye West, Jeremy Scott, Rihanna, Mos Def, Diddy, John Legend, Nas and Damian Marley). Exhibit B is his latest work for Nas and Damian Marley’s “Patience” a sublime mish mash of regal/cosmic/religious motifs that never turns cheesy. 2011’s first video of the year contender.
