MySpace Open for Business

The new Myspace has finally opened its doors to the general public after a 5 month exclusive ‘invite only’ trial period ended this week. It’s not yet known how many lonely tech heads were told “Not tonight” by burly virtual bouncers as they watched the endless stream of pretty girls jump the queue, but hopes are high within the company that they have re-established their relevance. Despite forgoing exclusivity, Myspace have maintained their buzz by joining forces with Justin Timberlake and launching the site in conjunction with his new single, Suit and Tie.

Also a key investor, it’s ironic that Timberlake’s greatest big screen role to date was in a movie about the original Myspace’s main rival and thunder stealer, Facebook. In the film, Timberlake played Napster founder Sean Parker which has further relevance to the new Myspace which is being pitched somewhere between Facebook and the Pandoras, Spotify, and iHeartRadios of the internet world. Coincidence or has Timberlake been meticulously planning to TAKE OVER THE INTERNET since staring in David Fincher’s seminal film?

Fuck y’all, I’m gonna relaunch Myspace!
