Miley Cyrus Posts Tribute To ‘Bangerz’ In Celebration Of Its 6 Influential Years

Miley Cyrus Bangerz

Whether you loved it or hated it, you can’t deny the cultural impact Miley CyrusBangerz had on the industry. From “We Can’t Stop” to “Wrecking Ball” and “Adore You”, Miley dominated 2013 at the ripe ol’ age of 20. Bangerz reached the spot on the  Australian, US and UK charts, was nominated for a Grammy and amassed over 3 billion streams. It would subsequently change her image forevermore. After all, this was a version of Miley that we hadn’t seen before – unapologetic, liberated and not afraid to step on a few toes. Gone were the days of Hannah Montana – this was the Miley we’d come to know and love.

In celebration of Bangerz‘ 6th birthday, Miley took to social media over the weekend to pay tribute to arguably her most influential album to date.

“Happy 6 year anniversary,” she posted. “Here’s to 6 more years of pissing people off!”

In a series of Instagram posts, Miley paid homage to the importance of her fourth-studio album to her development as an artist. I’m obsessed with Miley paying tribute to her 20/21-year-old self. That’s self-love in its purest form.

“Bangerz is 6 years old,” she captioned another Instagram post. “Wasn’t even 21 when I dropped this record ! Couldn’t drink but fuckkkkk I partied!”
