Meredith Ballot Now Open

In celebration of the festival’s forthcoming twentieth birthday (is someone going to pull out embarrassing photos from the festival’s youth and make it drink a beer bong?) organizers from Victoria’s Meredith Music Festival are promising a lineup that is “all killer, no filler, all quality, no follity; bespoke programming based on Supreme Live Experience, where collective (anticipated) mood and time of day or night is carefully considered. It will be at Meredith’s usual high standards.” That’s good to know. Last year’s lineup featured Animal Collective, Pharaohe Monche and Jarvis Cocker among others so can we expect another unmissable lineup from one of the most beloved festivals in Australia? Who knows?

What we do know is that this year’s festivities will fall on the 10th, 11th and 12th of December at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Victoria. Tickets will be made available via ballot with two rounds of ticket offers to be made on August 18th and August 27th. The subscriber ticket ballot opened today at 9am (you have until 10pm Monday 16 August to apply) while non-subscribers have until 10pm Wednesday 25 August and tickets will set you back 269 bones.

For more information visit the Meredith Website which is also hosting a retrospective of sorts featuring a 630 photo pictorial history of the festival, snippets of Rob McCafferty’s award winning Meredith documentary “A Weekend In The Country” and an amusing compendium of things the organizers didn’t know (but punters thought they should).
