So while the whole parade of fashion (you may have heard of it) might be – by and large – an exercise in preening, primping, pouting, peacocking, and generally looking hot as fuck, Triple J breakfast presenters Matt Okine and Alex Dyson might have just casually beaten everyone’s slick-haired brains in.
Rather than settle for something as easy as dressing normally – how bourgeois, let’s be real here – the pair instead chose to deck themselves out in the guise of the pair of artists tipped to dominate the night’s proceedings in Sia and Chet Faker.
If the idea of Matt Okine in a flesh coloured unitard accidentally pulling a pretty bang-on Matt Shirvington impersonation in the process puts you off, you might want to avert your gaze now.
But if the thought of a grinning funnyman in a hilarious blonde wig proudly giving everyone a bit of a not-so-subtle glimpse at his Chandelier whilst standing next to a re-appropriated Hipster ZZ Top getup sounds like your cup of tea, then LO!
Bravo, lads. It’s commitment to a bit like this that you simply don’t see enough of these days. They even had time to stop and snap off a pair of selfies.
There’s still time before the ceremony starts. Someone in charge create some ARIA Awards for Most Hilarious Legends and then give them all to these two.
