If you’re anything like me, you’ve been obsessed with US folk-pop angel Maggie Rogers ever since you saw that viral video of Pharrell Williams being absolutely gobsmacked by her talent at a New York University showcase.
Or maybe you saw her at this year’s Splendour in the Grass and thought to yourself “who is that actual human angel on the stage in front of me?” Or perhaps you saw her completely own the Saturday Night Live stage this past weekend as she trotted out her choons Fallingwater and Light On.
It doesn’t matter really, because no matter which way you fell in love with old mate Maggie, the exciting thing to takeaway from this article is that she’s gonna be coming back to Australia (and NZ!) next year for her first (non-festival related) national tour in support of her upcoming debut album Heard It In A Past Life.
After the record’s release in January 2019, the 23-year-old will be in Australia in May, with tickets on sale next Wednesday, November 14. Sydney details for the Maggie Rogers Australian tour are yet to be announced, but the confirmed dates and venues are as follows:
Tuesday 21 May
Astor Theatre, Perth
Thursday 23 May
The Forum, Melbourne
Saturday 25 May
Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
Thursday 30 May
The Tivoli, Brisbane
Since it’s a few months away yet, you’ll just find me watching Maggie’s game-changing SNL performance on repeat until next year. G’BYEEEE.Image: Saturday Night Live
