This song is alright I guess – I mean it’s lean, the rhythm section bounces and Trullie’s voice is a restrained alternative to the overwrought theatrics of most budding rock divas. My gripe however, is how painfully cool and contrived the clip plays out.
In the Cass Bird Directed video, Trullie sports an Alexander Wang jacket while trotting to her gig where Chloe Sevigny is selling merch, and Jen Brill, former bandmate Harley Viera Newton and Sophomore’s Chrissie Miller are vibing in the front row? Bitch please, maybe I’m just jealous of success by way of incest but this it-girl circle jerk just upgraded from lookbooks to film clips.
