Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Jessica Biel are all attractive, famous and unlucky enough to receive mention in US Nu-Metal revivalists Limp Bizkit’s new plea to remind us of their existence, “Ready To Go”, but only one of them is purported to have been “droppin’ to her knees” to perform fellatio on frontman ‘Freddy D’ in a life changing sexual dalliance we can only assume was the single greatest moment in his life considering he just won’t shut up about it.
This nostalgia seems emblematic of the band and the song as a whole which finds Durst retrospectively enamoured with a champagne soaked past in which he was a fairly bankable rock star who sometimes got blowjobs from pop stars. “They say that rock shit doesn’t rock anymore,” he complains to no one before dutifully taking it upon himself to rectify that sad state of rock affairs with six straight hot dog flavoured minutes of misogyny, riffs which oscillate between chugging and squealing, a throwaway Lil Wayne verse and lyrics about finger fucking the sky, stealing your girlfriend and passing out on the floor from too much gin consumption.
Being old never sounded so depressing.
