Lady Gaga has arrived at the 2011 Grammy Awards hidden inside of what appears to be a giant egg sitting atop a lectica carried by scantily clad alien attendants. After receiving the enormous response to her influential MTV Video Music Awards meat dress she obviously decided to stick with the protein theme for the Grammys. Gaga is nominated for five awards including Album Of The Year for The Fame Monster; she’s facing off against Arcade Fire (The Suburbs), Eminem (Recovery), Lady Antebellum (Need You Now), and Katy Perry (Teenage Dream) in the major category. Gaga is also performing at the ceremony, more than likely her new single “Born This Way” that was released over the weekend, which will provide her with the moment she’ll inevitably “hatch” from her egg. Symbolism is so eggciting, don’t you think.
