Kraftwerk Leads 2013 Vivid Sydney Lineup

Circular Quay will briefly transform into an illuminated vibe autobahn this year with the news that German electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk will headline this year’s Vivid Sydney lineup through a series of shows at the Sydney Opera House. The performance – KRAFTWERK – THE CATALOGUE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 – is a three dimensional AV journey through eight albums which first premiered at a retrospective held at the Museum of Modern Art last year in New York, and, most recently, at the Tate Modern in London.

One of the most influential acts in music history, the band will play eight consecutive shows in four days dedicated specifically to each of their groundbreaking studio albums –  Autobahn (1974), Radio-Activity (1975), Trans Europe Express (1977), The Man Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The Mix (1991) and Tour de France (2003) – while incorporating the cult artwork of long-term visual collaborator Emil Schult.

In other words, an unmissable series of shows which will no doubt sell out quickly.
