Kanye West was reportedly admitted to Melbourne’s Epworth Hospital in Richmond late yesterday afternoon after suffering from what’s being declared as “a major health scare” prior to his final performance at Rod Laver Arena.
Conflicting reports surfacing only now suggest West was hospitalised for either “a pretty intense migraine” or a suspected seizure. Woman’s Day of all people have an eyewitness account from a mother whose daughter was undergoing an MRI procedure at the time West was rushed into through the hospital’s back entrance, one hand covering his face with something white [by Margiela?] and surrounded by security, who promptly cleared the room.
Says the witness:
“Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security. He had one side of his face covered with something white. We both knew it was him because we had seen his photo in the paper everyday and we were shocked because it looked so serious. Everyone was massively panicked. And they were very nervous about making sure the area was completely clear.“
Sources at TMZ refute claims of a seizure and are instead attributing his admission to a migraine brought on while playing basketball. West’s right hand man Virgil Abloh posted this yesterday afternoon lamenting the decline of his field goal percentage, which was apparently commensurate with the imminent decline of his friend’s health:
