While much of the response to the news of Kanye West’s mental health issues has been met with disdain and claims that this is just “Kanye being normal Kanye”, it’s increasingly clear that Ye is going through an extremely difficult time.

Kanye‘s enormous fan base has been inexplicably worried about Lord and Saviour Yeezus since he was 5150’d and hospitalised for psychological evaluation.

However, some good news: sources say the rapper is said to already be doing “much better” since his hospitalisation.

His wife, Kim Kardashian West, flew from New York to be by his side after the news broke on Monday, and has reportedly not left his side since.

A source close to the couple told Entertainment Tonight

“He just needed some rest. [Kim] is currently with Kanye right now at his side.

Kim feels more connected to Kanye than ever. Their marriage is doing great.”

The musician remains in UCLA Medical Centre (outside which his security team can be regularly seen), as he recovers from what the source referred to as a “mental breakdown”

The source previously told ET:

“It was a combination of a lot of issues: stress, anxiety, paranoia. He just broke. There have been signs recently of him just overwhelmed.

Kanye hasn’t been himself for a while.”

Fans have been aware of this for a while; Kanye started demonstrating erratic behaviour far beyond the Kanye norm.

He displayed  erratic behaviour at his shows on the Saint Pablo tour; breaking into lengthy and inconsistent rants, and cancelling shows.

After playing three songs at his Sacramento show, Ye broke into a rant about Beyoncé and Jay-Z, before letting the mic drop and ending the show. A Sacramento radio station has since claimed that they refuse to support Kanye West, and will never play one of his songs on the station again.

The day after Sacramento, he cancelled the 21 remaining dates of the Saint Pablo tour, and was placed into hospital around 6 hours later.

We hope Yeezy‘s recovery is fast and he feels back to his normal self soon. Because god knows there’s a shitload of people that love Kanye like Kanye loves Kanye
