Kanye West Gives Shout Outs To Abbey Lee, Jess Gomes

Kanye West’s love of fashion is pretty well documented. Dude’s an Alexander McQueen fan, Louis Vuitton and Nike collaborator, Pastelle head honcho, Sartorialist muse and permanent fixture at fashion weeks everywhere. Specifically, West believes that cross-pollination between music, fashion and art can produce new forms of culture, the kind of marriage embodied by “Christian Dior Denim Flow” released a fortnight ago as part of ‘Ye’s perpetually excellent G.O.O.D. Friday series. In it, West lovingly acknowledges the industry’s true stars, the clotheshorses, including Australians Abbey Lee Kershaw and Jessica Gomes who West admits he would “damage” (not a domestic violence reference). The song also explains why West’s Twitter account, which boasts 1,409,317 followers as of this morning, is only following 14 people back. They’re all models name checked in his song. Sample lyrics below…

“I’m in my Christian Dior with a Veronica Webb
Noemi Lenoir she know Sessilee Lopez
Arlenis Sosa, Selita Ebanks
If you work with my people, speak that Jourdan Dunn language
Make a phone call, out to Joan Smalls
I wonder how it feel to lower Stones walls
Jessica Gomes, y’all, I would damage her
And see, uh Jessica Stam got the stamina
I’m in the car with Leo and the Benz swerve
I heard Bar was friends with Esti Ginzburg
Coco Rocha, Kate Mimosa
Alessandra Ambrosia, Anja Rubik, get Olga
Kurylenko tell her I’m very single
Abbey Lee, too I’m a freak boo
I’m wylin I’m on a thousand
I wanna see Irina Shayk next to Doutzen.”

West is currently finalizing his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, a portion of which he completed at 301 Studios in Alexandria, Sydney. Also, the album cover just got banned in America! Can’t stop, won’t stop.
