And now for the latest in drop everything because Kanye just tweeted something about something: His most recent contribution to the universe in 140-characters-or-less is an endorsement for Guillermo del Toro‘s forthcoming rock ’em sock ’em robot movie, Pacific Rim.
It is “not another Robot movie” says Mr West – a crushing blow for fans of Short Circuit, Short Circuit 2 and Real Steel; although, actually, it sounds kind of like a larger-scale Real Steel in that it’s about humans piloting large powerful robots, except in this instance the robots are needed to save Earth from destructive alien life forms, compared with Real Steel where the robots were purely recreational. Anyway, totally see it because Guillermo del Toro is a master.
Prediction: Kanye West will direct and release a feature film by the year 2015.
