Previously in when Kanye buys things: the spendthrift DONDA Pres picked up fashions from Givenchy, Commes Des Garcons and Balmain last week while at Sydney menswear boutique Harrolds. He was chaperoned by longtime collaborator Christine Centenera of Australian Harper’s BAZAAR who was nowhere to be seen in his latest retail excursion, this time at youthy Melbourne womenswear outpost Alice Euphemia.
A shop assistant snapped this photo (with caps appropriate commentary “Kanye West is shopping at Alice RIGHT NOW!”) wherein the beach-tribal-slash-interstellar-time-travel backpacks of Sydney designer Emma Mulholland received special attention from the rapper and budding womenswear designer.
In a later comment, the shop assistant explains why: “He bought an Emma Mulholland back pack (and said he’s gonna use it as a reference, look out Em!) and some dani m designs earrings. Spent a while in here, a lot of star struck shoppers!”
