Jay Z Gives First (Very Tiny) Statement On Bey’s ‘Lemonade’ In Fresh Remix

Earlier this month we reported on the gossip that Jay Z was addressing his 100th problem and working on a rebuttal album to Beyoncé’s game-changing (and husband-shaming) Lemonade.

Our hopes were not high. The gossip originated from Us Weekly quoting “a source close to the couple”, an unusual specimen who seems to be close to an alarming number of celebrities and nearly always gets their facts wrong.

But in this case, things may have been partially true. Kinda. The remix for Fat Joe and Remy Ma‘s street anthem ‘All The Way Up‘ has just dropped, and with it, Jay Z rapping about his marriage and Lemonade. It’s not much, but it is to date the closest thing we’ve gotten to a statement from his camp since Bey accused him of cheating on her in the biggest album of 2016.

The lyrics are as follows:

“You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions / Lemonade is a popular drink and still is.”

Riveting stuff.

Anyhoo, here’s the track, via DDotOmen.
