This morning Vampire Weekend released two new songs; the sweet down-tempo harpsichord jam “Step” that recalls the band’s breakout debut, and “Diane Young”, a less familiar-sounding but interesting rock ‘n’ roll track that, combines rockabilly and New Wave influences. Take a listen below.
According to a cryptic clue posted in the New York Times classifieds section, Vampire Weekend’s third studio album Modern Vampires of the City will be released on 7 May through XL Recordings.
