A kind-of-cryptic announcement has appeared on Facebook and Twitter pages for both industrial kings Nine Inch Nails and desert rockers Queens Of The Stone Age, hinting that the bands will team up to destroy our eardrums with a tour of Australia and New Zealand sometime in the near future.

NIN’s Trent Reznor recently promised via Twitter that an Australian visit was imminent after Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah claimed they were on the bill for next year’s heavy music mega-festival, but pulled out at the last minute.
Nine Inch Nails‘ eighth full-length album Hesitation Marks was released in September, while Queens Of The Stone Age released their sixth album …Like Clockwork (which featured contributions from Reznor) in June.
