His work has been to the savannah, the war-torn French coast, at least one black hole, and the deepest realms of Leonardo DiCaprio‘s subconscious. Now, Hans Zimmer is bringing his repertoire back to Australia for a mammoth concert tour in October, showcasing the breadth of his work as one of Hollywood‘s most legendary composers.
Featuring scores from The Lion King, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception, Blade Runner 2049, and a stack of other award-winning flicks, the upcoming Hans Zimmer Live promises to treat audiences to some sheer aural goodness. Here’s a peek at some of his work being performed live, if you’d like a glimpse at the kind of gear we’re talking about.
It’s worth noting it won’t just be Zimmer on stage, busting out the classics on the old Kawai keys. The dude will be joined by a suite of musos and will be accompanied by a big ol’ light show, which seems fitting for someone best known for playing along to flashing images.
The shows will hit Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. Peep the details:
