Chance The Rapper, Jon Favreau & Hans Zimmer Walk Into A Room…

A picture says a thousand words so when Chance the Rapper uploaded this saucy pic to Twitter a little while ago, people went into overdrive trying to figure out what it means. Why? Because what kind of group meeting involves Pharrell Williams, Jon Favreau, Hans Zimmer and the rapper??? People didn’t know where to look – jokes, Hans’ colourful socks win but still, it’s a very suss photo and we demand to know what’s going on.

Chance also seemed to be overwhelmed by the totally casual get-together captioning his tweet, “Life crazy #nocap”.

Here’s the tweet below.

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge Hans’ cheeky smile – he knows what this picture is doing to us mere mortals.

SO, what could these four creators be doing in a room together? Well, Twitter reckons its got everything to do with the 2019 live action adaption of The Lion King and a very elite soundtrack. ‘Cos let’s be real, a soundtrack that has these three artists on it will probably win a coupla awards. I mean, Hans did take home an Oscar for best original music score for the 1995 The Lion King. And I can smell another one.

Iron Man director and recent Star Wars writer, Jon Favreau will be directing the live action adaption with a bloody epic cast. Donald Glover will be starring as Simba, the rightful king of the lands while Beyoncé AKA queen has been cast as fierce Nala. James Earl Jones will return to the screen as Mufasa just like in the original film. If that didn’t give you shivers, I don’t know what will. Scar will be played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Seth Rogan will be Plumbaa and Billy Eichner will play Timon.

Though the film will mostly be CG instead of actual ‘live action’, people still have high hopes considering Jon gifted us all with the heavily CG’d The Jungle Book that blew all our expectations and doubts away.

The Lion King is set for release on July 19 2019.
