Gotye‘s having the dream run of a lifetime, but it hasn’t even begun for the multi-ARIA-nominated, chart-topping singer-songwriter.
Reports are starting to trickle in from Wally De Backer’s first shows in the States and by all accounts, they love him over there just as much as we do here. Earlier this week Gotye played a sold-out show at The Satellite in L.A., with the reviewer noting: “Wally and his three onstage compadres had the crowd clapping within seconds and in the palm of their hand in the space of a single song,” before concluding “Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Gotye: a shining new musical juggernaut from Melbourne that no man and no machine can ever hope to stop. Go with the Gotye flow – you’ll be happy that you did.” Apparently Kimbra, who is currently on a writing trip in the US of A, has been joining him on stage, too, much to the delight of the Yanks.
