Stop monkeying* about and get prepared to go ape* this December because, after knockout headline performances at Glastonbury and Coachella, Gorillaz have confirmed they’ll embark on their first Australian tour in December.
Their recent spate of shows have included the full Gorillaz entourage: De La Soul, Mick Jones & Paul Simonon (The Clash), Kano, Little Dragon, Mos Def, Gruff Rhys, Shaun Ryder and Bobby Womack, so keep your fingers crossed that they’ll be packing a similar guestlist when they grace our shores.
The shows will be massive: a visual and sonic sensory assault featuring multi-media video, animation, artwork and film of Jamie Hewlitt’s virtual world. And then there’s Damon Albarn.
This shit’s gonna go bananas*.
