Gorillaz Go Big For 1st Show In 7 Yrs, Launch Festival In Amusement Park

Attn: Gorillaz fans – you might want to get your European summer flights sorted.

The duo just announced their first show since 2010, and it’s so extra it hurts. Most bands would come back with a festival tour and a few sideshows, but these guys? Nah, they just announced their very own inaugural festival inside an amusement park.

Demon Dayz – which Gorillaz are both headlining and are, as of this moment, the only act announced – is taking place in the Margate Dreamland amusement park in Kent, England in June this year, and your ticket includes free access to all the rides.
Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett are curating the yet-to-be-releaed lineup, but “an eclectic bill is promised, running across three stages, with Gorillaz featuring in the headline slot,” says Red Bull, which is streaming the whole thing via Red Bull TV.

Tickets are £60 plus BF, and go on sale 9am March 10, 2017 – presumably U.K. time.
